Glenroy
House, is centrally located in Canterbury in the middlle of New
Zealand's South Island on State Highway 77. We are just 45 minutes from
Christchurch and 5 minutes from State Hightway 73. This is the main
artery to the West Coast (Arthur's Pass, Greymouth, Fox Glacier, Franz
Joseph and Haast. We are also close to the Scenic routes North to
Nelson and Picton or South to Queenstown and Milford Sound.
We are surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Southern Alps and close to all the attractions and activities mid Canterbury has to offer.

Is very close to Glenroy House. It's truly a special place to visit. A landscape of clear streams and red tussocks, of braided riverbeds, wetlands and alpine habitat where a host of rare and native speices can be found. The park also has a wide spectrucm of recreation activities possible. More information can be found in this brochure.
Hot Air Ballooning, For a touch of romantic adventure, try Hot Air Ballooning. The pleasure of this ancient sport will delight and thrill you. The home of Hot Air Ballooning is the town of Methven. Porters Pass Ski Field Is approximately 25 minutes drive from Glenroy House. It is home of superb snow conditions for sking and snowboarding in the Canterbury region. Anyone can ski at Porters.
